  1. What is NDT?

Non-Destructive Testing or NDT consists of material testing using various methods such as Industrial Radiography (RT), Ultrasonic (UT), Magnetic Particle (MT), Liquid Penetrant (PT), Remote Visual Inspection (RVI), etc.

 

  1. What is BARC Level-I?

Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) conducts examinations pertaining to various aspects of theory, techniques, practical and safety aspects of various radiation sources such as X-rays and radio-isotopes like Ir-192, Co-60 and Se-75. After successful completion of the exams, a certificate is issued which is valid world-wide.

 

  1. What are the minimum qualifications required for eligibility?
  2. 12th (10 + 2, HSC) pass in Science Stream with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry (Biology not accepted) OR
  3. ITI (Any trade) pass after 10th or 12th (SSC or HSC).

 

  1. What is the salary / stipend till the completion of BARC Level-I?

Stipend would be as per rates determined by Govt. of India per month. Accommodation and transportation at various sites would be free of charge.

 

  1. What are the fees and duration for the BARC Level-I examinations?

The fees are updated regularly. As on date, they are Rs. 27,500/- Costs for accommodation, conveyance and food are extra. Duration of the course is one month, followed by examination.

 

  1. Where are Level-I examinations conducted in India?

At present, they are conducted in Mumbai, Pune, New Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Tiruchirapally (Trichy).

 

  1. Who shall pay the examination fees?

Injo Tech shall sponsor the examination and bear the costs for accommodation, conveyance and food for the duration of the course.

 

  1. What is the salary after completion of BARC Level-I?

Salary would be based on performance report and evaluation. In general, the following slabs would apply:

  1. Rs. 15,000 /- per month for the first 12 months.
  2. Rs. 17,500 /- per month for the next 12 months.
  3. Rs 20,000 /- per month for the next 12 months.

Additionally, free accommodation and transport, with chargeable mess facilities shall be provided.

 

  1. What is the course of employment after 2 years?
  2. Continuation of work with Injo Tech with salary as per Company’s rules and regulations. OR
  3. Appear for BARC Level-II (Radiation Safety Officer) examination.

 

  1. What are the fees and duration for the BARC Level-II Examinations?

The fees are updated regularly. As on date, they are Rs. 50,000/- Costs for accommodation, conveyance and food are extra. Duration of the course is one month, followed by examination. The course is carried out only in Mumbai.

 

  1. What is the salary after completion of BARC Level-II?

Salary would be based on performance report and evaluation. In general, the following slabs would apply:

  1. Rs. 25,000 /- per month for the first 12 months.
  2. Rs. 27,500 /- per month for the next 12 months.

Additionally, free accommodation and transport, with chargeable mess facilities shall be provided.

 

  1. What other examinations are available for certification?

Other examinations available for certification include Levels-II and –III in other NDT fields such as UT. MT, PT, ET, VT as per ASNT (www.asnt.org), American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) (www.aws.org), American Petroleum Institute (API) Inspector (www.api.org/icp), National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) (www.nace.org), National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) (www.nebosh.org.uk), CSWIP (www.cswip.com).   1. What is the long-term future for NDT professionals?

NDT has vast applications in various fields, both in India and abroad. Such industries include, but are not limited to, Aerospace, Refineries, Petrochemical, Cement, Fertilizers, Heavy Engineering, Steel Casting and Forging Foundries, Pharmaceuticals and Power Generation and Oil and Gas.

 

  1. What sort of companies require qualified and experienced NDT professionals?

Such companies include Larsen & Toubro, Godrej, TEMA, ISGEC, Bharat Forge, BPCL, HPCL and Reliance Refineries. Additional, over 100 refineries and companies around the world also employ qualified and experienced NDT professionals.

 

  1. How much do NDT professionals earn after 4-5 years in the field, and completion of relevant certifications?

Depending upon the certifications and understanding levels, earnings in India range from Rs. 40,000/- to Rs. 80,000/- per month. Earnings abroad can range from Rs. 60,000/- to Rs. 400,000/- per month.

EMPLOYEES TO ADMINISTRATION

  1. Where shall I be posted?

Company Management shall decide the posting location in any part of India.

 

  1. Can I change my Mobile Number?

It is advisable not to change your mobile No. as the same is linked with your Bank account, Aadhar Card and EPF account.

 

  1. How do I check the mobile number linked with my Aadhar Card?

Go to the Aadhar website, https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/#/popup, type in the Aadhar Number and generate OTP. If an OTP is received on the mobile, the mobile number has been linked to the Aadhar Card. If OTP is not received on the mobile, go to the e-seva Aadhar Kendra to complete the procedure. It usually takes 4 to 5 days for the Aadhar server to update the same. Acknowledgement slip to be taken from Aadhar Kendra.

 

  1. Will I be required to go through a trial period?

Yes. All new joiners are required to go through a one-week trial period at either our Chikhali Lab, or at any other site.

 

  1. What are my duty timings?

12 Hrs. duty in day & night shifts

 

  1. What are the accommodation arrangements at Site?

Free Bachelor Accommodation is available at our sites.

 

  1. What are the Transportation arrangements?

Free to & fro transportation is available from our company guest house to place of work. Most of the sites are provided with company vehicles.

 

  1. What are the Mess/Food arrangements?

All the sites are having Mess facility which provides morning tea, break-fast, lunch & dinner.  The cook is provided by Company. Alternatively, employees may have to arrange food arrangements from outside, in certain cases.

 

  1. Who will pay my monthly Food / Mess bills?

Employees have to pay from their Stipend / Salary which is about Rs.1800/- +/- 15% p.m.

 

  1. How much Cash should I carry while joining?

A minimum cash of Rs.6000/- would be required while joining. (Rs.2000/- towards mess advance, Rs.2000/- towards miscellaneous expenses & Rs.2000/- to purchase safety shoes, overalls, etc. The same shall be reimbursed after completion of a minimum of six (6) months service)

 

 

  1. How many Paid Leaves would I have?
  2. For trainees – first 6 months – NIL (Zero), Thereafter 25 days per annum
  3. For certified staff – 30 days per annum.

 

  1. Who will sanction my Leave?

Leave will be sanctioned by the Site-In-charge (SIC).

 

  1. How many days in advance shall I apply for the leave?

A minimum of 90 days in advance. Fill the leave application form available with SIC. Employees can go on leave only once their SIC sanctions their leave.

Make sure to re-join the duty on committed date. Failing to re-join duty on the committed date, would incur a fine of Rs.1000/- to Rs.3000/-.

 

  1. Would I get to & fro travelling Expenses reimbursement for my yearly travel?
  2. For Trainees up to first six months – NO
  3. All others get it paid once in year with submission of relevant tickets & documents along with the attendance card.

 

  1. When am I eligible for safety shoes & uniform?

After completion of a minimum of 6 months service. Till then, they have to be bought by self.

Same shall be reimbursed after 6 months service.

 

  1. How many times am I eligible for safety shoes & uniform?

Once in every year.

 

  1. When am I supposed to submit my monthly expenses?

Along with same month attendance card, duly filled with proper dates, details, enclosure of tickets, bills etc. & signed by claimant & site in charge.

 

  1. Who is supposed to fill the Expense Sheet?

Person who has made the expenses has to fill the sheet. No other person is allowed to fill the form on behalf of the person.

 

  1. Whom shall I call if my monthly expenses are not received in my bank account by 25th of the month?

Employees to co-ordinate with their Site-In-charge & ask him to talk to accounts department on their behalf.  No need to call office directly.

 

  1. When I will get my Salary?

Salary will get remitted in the bank account between the 10th and 12th of every month, provided attendance card, duly filled, reaches the office on or before 30th of the month with signatures of employee & site in charge.

 

 

  1. I have received less Salary in my Bank Account, what shall I do?

Employees to meet their Site-In-Charge & explain him the calculation.  Site-In-Charge in turn will talk to accounts department & try to resolve it.  If still it does not get resolved, then call accounts department, after 15th of the month along with Site-In-Charge.  Do not call directly to the account department.

 

  1. Is ESIC & PF Facility available?

ESIC & PF facility is available to all the employees as per the Govt. rules & regulations.

Ensure that name as per Aadhar Card, PAN Card and Bank Account is same.

 

  1. How much is the ESIC/EPF cut from Salary?
  2. For Gross Salary up to Rs.15,000/- p.m. the EPF is mandatory & there is no alternative.
  3. ESIC Coverage & non-coverage area is decided by Govt. of India. If the site where employees are presently working is under ESIC coverage area then the ESIC will get deducted from their salary & there is no alternative

 

  1. What is my EPF Number?

EPF number will be received within 60 days once EPF is deducted from Salary.

 

  1. What is my ESIC Number?

ESIC number will be received within 60 days once ESIC gets deducted from Salary.

 

  1. Who should open account with Bank of Maharashtra?

The Employee who is not having account in Bank of Maharashtra or SBI (State Bank of India) should open account with Bank of Maharashtra.

 

  1. Who is eligible to open Bank Account in Bank of Maharashtra through Company?

The person having photo ID like Aadhar Card, Election/Voter I.D. Card is eligible to open account in Bank of Maharashtra.

 

  1. How much time does it take to open Bank of Maharashtra account?

In normal case it takes 12 weeks (approx. 3 months) by Bank of Maharashtra to open a new Account.

 

  1. I am having my account with SBI (State Bank of India), would I still have to open an account with Bank of Maharashtra?

Employees having accounts in State Bank of India do not require to open new account with Bank of Maharashtra.

 

  1. How is the salary calculated?

Salary month starts from 26th of every month and ends on 25th of the subsequent month.

 

 

  1. How will my attendance be maintained?

On the basis of Biometric Time Attendance System or mobile app only. In spite of this, the attendance card needs to be signed as per Govt. rules.

 

  1. When will my salary be increased?

After completion of 6 to 8 months of working, employees have to appear for the test.  After successfully passing the test, salary shall be increased to the next level.

 

  1. What will happen if my test is not good?

Employees will be given 2 to 3 months additional time by the SIC to prepare. However, Salary increment will get delayed till that time.

 

  1. Who should keep the leave record?

All Site In-charges should keep Leave Records at their site in addition to be kept by H.O.

 

  1. When does the year start and end?
  2. Year starts on 1st April every year.
  3. Year ends on 31st March every year.

 

  1. Where should the expenses done by the other person be written?

If advance for expenses/tour is booked from site in charge or any person, it should be written on expense sheet.

 

  1. How should the expense sheet be filled?

The expense sheet to be filled, in readable handwriting, in either English or Hindi. Any follow up or query regarding expenses should be asked to site in charge only.

 

  1. What should be the minimum balance kept in Bank Account?

A minimum balance of Rs.1,500/- is to be maintained to enjoy ATM facility from your Bank.

 

  1. When should I call office, if my salary has not got credited in my Bank Account?

 Employees should not call office for any salary enquiry. Site Incharge/RSO to should call office on employees’ behalf.

 

  1. What will happen if I call directly to office regarding my salary?

 A fine of Rs 500/- shall be charged for each call.

 

  1. What are the requirements for Income Tax PAN Card and 2 & 4 Wheeler Driving License?

Employees should apply for PAN Card & 4 Wheeler Driving License when they go back to their native place for the first vacation. A copy of Income Tax PAN Card & Driving License is to be submitted to the office within 12 months from joining date. 50% of the cost of learning the vehicle for getting the driving License with a maximum up to Rs.2,000/-, shall be refunded, after the submission of a copy of permanent driving license.

 

  1. When do I get my TLD?

After 6 to 8 months of joining, and after submission of all original documents to office viz., Original Mark sheets & Passing Certificates and Photo Id.

 

  1. When am I eligible for BARC Level – I course?

 Minimum 8 to 10 months after TLD enrollment

To appear for BARC Level-II examinations, one needs to have work experience in NDT for a minimum of 24 months.

 

  1. Where would I be posted?

Posting can be in any part of India depending on the work load. Free accommodation and transport is available at all sites. Mess facility on chargeable basis is available at all sites. Approximate mess charges range from 1,700/- to 2,000/- per month. The same have to be paid through the employees’ stipend/salary.

 

  1. Where is BARC Level-II Examination conducted in India?

The BARC Level-II examinations are conducted by the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB), in Mumbai only.

 

  1. What are the fees and duration for BARC Level-II Examinations?

  1. What is the salary after completion of BARC Level-II?

EMPLOYEE PROVIDENT FUND (EPF)

  1. Is it possible to withdraw money from the EPF during employment, for emergency purposes?

As per present EPF rules, withdrawal of EPF funds is permitted, under PF Advance through online process.

 

  1. Is it possible to withdraw money from EPF upon termination of employment from Injo Tech, if my new employer does not provide EPF facility?

Yes. It is possible to withdraw. Fill and submit the application form online for the same.

 

  1. Is it possible to withdraw money from EPF upon termination of employment from Injo Tech, if my new employer also provides EPF facility?

As per present EPF rules, withdrawal is permitted. Money can also be transferred with the new employer.

 

  1. Is my EPF Account linked to my Aadhar Card?

Yes. It is.

 

  1. What duration would I need to work for with Injo Tech to receive both employee and employer contribution of EPF?

A minimum of six (6) months’ work is necessary to receive both contributions.

 

  1. What duration would I need to work for with Injo Tech to receive only employee contribution of EPF, with employer contribution being forfeited?

A minimum of three (3) months’ work is necessary to receive only employee contribution. As mentioned, the employer contributions would be forfeited in this case.

 

  1. What are the documents required to withdraw from the EPF?

The procedure is online, thus, KYC form needs to be updated on Member Portal. Documents required include Aadhar card, PAN card, bank details and mobile number which is linked to Aadhar.

 

  1. Where can I check my EPF balance?

On the website, https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface

 

  1. What is the UAN Number for my EPF?

It is handed over to the Site-In-Charge.

 

  1. Is it possible to change the UAN Number for EPF?

No. It is not possible to change the UAN Number once issued.

 

  1. Can I register my mobile number for my EPF Account?

Yes. Through the website, https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface

 

  1. Can I request to not have EPF deducted from my salary?

No. EPF deduction is mandatory.

LEAVE

  1. How many leaves are approved per year?
  2. For BARC Certified Levels I and II – 30 days per annum.
  3. For non- BARC Certified Employees working with Injo for more than 36 months – 30 days per Annum
  4. For personnel working with Injo for less than 36 months – 25 days per annum.
  5. For trainees – first six (6) months, NIL. Thereafter, 25 days per annum.

 

  1. How is a year calculated?

A year is considered to start on April 1st in a calendar year, and end on March 31st the next calendar year.

 

  1. How should I apply for a leave?
  2. Leave application form, duly filled, to be submitted to the SIC / RSO.
  3. SIC / RSO to sanction leave based on actual work load and situations at site.
  4. Leave granted and confirmed by Admin Office, after sanctioning by SIC / RSO.

 

  1. How many days in advance should a leave be applied for?

Leave applications to be submitted at least ninety (90) days prior to leave date.

 

  1. What would happen if two or more employees require leave at the same time?

SIC / RSO would evaluate each application on a case-to-case basis and come to a decision. The decision of the SIC / RSO would be final and binding. Any further calls to the Admin Office would not be necessary.

 

  1. What would happen if I go on leave without it being sanctioned by SIC / RSO?

The leave would be treated as without pay, and no payment shall be made against said leave. Additionally, a charge of Rs. 100/- per day shall be levied, which shall not be reversed in any circumstances.

 

  1. What would happen in I go on leave without submitting proper leave application?

Salary for that month would be kept on hold. Same would be credited upon rejoining, after concerned penalties have been deducted.

 

  1. What would happen if a trainee takes more than 30 days’ leave?

Such trainees will be considered as re-joining the company. Their BARC Level-I examination would be delayed further.

 

  1. When would I be eligible for leave pay?

Employees need to complete 11 months working in a year, so as to be eligible for leave pay.
